For her first number, Candis Cox goes back to her roots in the place where the fight for LGBTQ equality all started. In a drag performance of “It’s Quite Uptown” (from the hit broadway show “Hamilton” as performed by Kelly Clarkson on the Hamilton Mixtape [copyright theirs]), Candis Cox pays tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragedy at Pulse Nightclub, revealing a Pulse Nightclub shirt (proudly donated by a previous Pulse Nightclub employee) and breaking into tears midway through.

For her final performance to the song “Masterpiece (Mona Lisa)” by Jazmine Sullivan (copyright hers), Candis Cox embraces the message of the song and bares her true beauty, which isn’t defined by the make up and clothes and hair, but in being who she was meant to be, her authentic self.
