The fight continues

The US media may have suffered it's usual case of "oooh look, a shiney!" And ceased it's coverage of the fight against HB2, but rest assured the fighting has not ended, and media from across the globe is still paying attention.  The fight has moved from the governor's office to the courtroom, the ACLU is requesting a block on HB2 until the legal battles have a decision, but the biggest fight is yet to come.

We cannot allow Trump to become president either.  I have seen so many former Bernie Sanders supporters claim to be voting for Trump because of their hatred for Hillary Clinton.  It’s OK for you to hate Clinton, but Trump is the furthest thing from what Bernie stood for.  You want Clinton to lose? Vote third party.  Strip both candidates of power, not feed the beast that is Trump.

And don’t forget about the rest of the ticket, there are a large number of positions be elected this year, do your research before you vote.  You don’t have to vote the party line just because you are Republican or Democrat, find the people who represent what you stand for, who have the strength to stand up for what you believe.  Don’t fall for rhetoric or fancy advertising, don’t fall for the mud-slinging and half-truth self promotion that will be plastered across the media in the coming months.  And take a second to stop being angry, breathe for a minute, and think, rationally, about what it is that this country, your state, your county and municipality actually need.

But most importantly, do not give up hope, the fight is not over, the war is not lost, and the lack of media attention does not mean there is not action.
